How to sign up on Embedquiz?

In this article, I’m going to walk you through the signup process of EmbedQuiz and we will speak about some common privacy-related questions regarding where EmbedQuiz stores your data.

Sign in with Google

You can quickly sign up to EmbedQuiz, by clicking the Sign in with Google button on the application’s homepage.

When signing up, Google automatically gives us your name and email address, so the registration process only takes some seconds.

During your first sign-in, Google will ask you if you provide EmbedQuiz access to your Google Drive.

If you select this option and give access to your Google Drive, EmbedQuiz will only be able to create folders and upload, edit, or delete files in the folders created by the application itself.

EmbedQuiz won’t be able to access your documents already stored in Google Drive.

Why is this necessary?

Most quiz-maker platforms let you store only 100 responses a month and you have to pay a monthly fee if you want to be able to receive a higher amount of traffic.

With EmbedQuiz you don’t have any limitation on the number of responses you can store on the site.

To make this possible, EmbedQuiz saves all response data on your own Google Drive. It’s safely and privately stored in a Google Sheets document and you can access it at any time on any device without navigating to our site.

It has another big advantage, besides the unlimited amount of responses you can receive.

Google Sheets is compatible with all the important data analytics and newsletter platforms, so you can easily import the responses into any of them without downloading a CSV or setting up automation with Zapier.

Isn’t it great?

What if I don’t want EmbedQuiz to access my Google Drive?

No problem! If you leave the checkbox unchecked during the first sign-in with Google, your registration will still be successful and you will still be able to create quizzes.

In this case, the responses submitted to your quiz wont be saved, you will only see the number of people, who visited your quiz.

If you change your mind and want to save the responses, you can enable access to your Google Drive later, by clicking on the “Update permissions” button in your profile settings.
